I have been pretty organised for once and I have just finished off the last of my christmas cards. BigGrin

My new years resolution is to make things easier so thinking of getting the non persihable stuff delivered. Its better for the environment too as there is less energy used even with it been delivered to the door. ThumpUp

However clothes shopping is another kettle of fish I get knackered going around the department stores. Its a nightmare as you find something you like you have to walk the length of the shop for a changing room. I was never a great shopper and now its like an expedition to kilmanjaro. Do any of you use mail order and how do you find it, the idea I must say does not really appeal as I like to feel the cloth and look at the cut and how the garment hangs... Or any tip, websites are most welcomed. Also I like not just to get something that will do I want something nice. I At the moment sneakers are king, I am in jeans 7 days a week and I would love a image/wardrobe revamp. Wub

Cool

PS adding that I really need some nice comfy slouch wear and pjs at the momentConfused

Hi Mari,
Oh how I agree with you about clothes shopping!
I just don't have the energy and yes I have used mail order.
It' fine because you can choose in your own time and most of them do free returns so if you don't like what you ordered, just return it.
All the shops have online ordering , you can browse at your leisure!
I've used M&S and Next recently & managed to get free delivery. If you join their websites they send you e-mails with special offers, free delivery etc.

Also, if you do see something you like while you are in the shop, just get it and take it home to try on, they all do refunds no questions asked.

So, happy armchair shoppping!

Love, Doreen xx

Oh Mari,

How I agree with you, clothes shopping is FAR more tiring than home schooling five young children, cooking all the meals and cleaning the house...LOL

I feel so exhausted each and every time I go shopping plus there is never anything I like in the shops as I wear long skirts and no where sells long , fashionable skirts any more!

I do buy from e-bay though! And I have used directories, like La redout but not often as I prefer to see the clothes really.

I need to buy Son no 1 new trainers, new jacket and new jeans....horror of horrors!

Now, second hand book stores...... they're a different kettle of fish! LOL

Love,
Amanda

Any sort of shopping is like an assault course these days - takes the pleasure out of buying the clothes! The only shop I ever try clothes on is Debenham`s, as they have a lovely big changing room for those of us with mobility difficulties. The assistant will always undo stiff zips, stiff buttons etc., and go and fetch things off the racks for you. There is a button thing to press if you need help.

I have used mail order too - as Doreen says, you can easily send them back. I use mail-order for shoes too, most of the time.

I do a lot of online shopping, it certainly takes the stress and tiredness out of shopping in town. The other benefit is that if you're buying clothes you can try them on in the comfort of your home, and try them with different shoes, etc. All the major retailers have online shops now.
